Moonstone is a semi-precious gemstone that reacts with light to display a pearly and opalescent schiller. This moonstone comes from Sri Lanka and is very opalescent. Hardness is 6.5 on Mohs scale.

Moonstone has been known for millenniums as the “Traveler’s Stone” giving protection at night, especially on the open seas. In addition, moonstone is known to provide good luck and is highly valued in India as the “Lover’s Stone”.
