We have a great line up of Fall Harvest and Winter/Holiday youth programs! Please check session start dates and times carefully as they vary from program to program.

All Barn Buddies & Farmers-In-Training programs will begin in late October and will finish the four-week session before Thanksgiving.

All Junior Farmers programs will being in early November and will conclude the first week of December with a live Nativity reenactment. Classes that meet on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays will skip the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and will resume after the following week.

In order to comply with CDC and IDPH guidelines for safety, there are some modifications to our Junior Farmer’s program:

          • Face Coverings required for all non-vaccinated participants and chaperones while utilizing indoor spaces.
          • Group sizes have been decreased
          • Class offerings have been decreased
          • Increased facility sanitation
          • Online registration and payment

Junior Farmers is a unique experience for children ages 3-12 (ages vary due to schedule) to experience and learn on a real working farm. Mr. Paul, our Youth Program Manager, expertly leads Junior Farmers though educational and fun, seasonal sessions, that all have a slightly different focus.

Junior Farmers sessions (excluding summer) meet one hour a week for the duration of the session. Classes are held multiple days a week so you can choose which one works best for you.

Summer Sessions of Junior Farmers meet Monday through Friday for one whole week.
