School

In the interest of the health and safety of our community, The Farm & Nature School will be closed starting Monday, March 16, for two weeks (which includes Spring Break), in order to respond to the impact of COVID-19. We plan to reopen on March 30, but we realize that the situation is in rapid flux.

We will, therefore, continuously monitor and evaluate the situation over the coming days and provide updates on our website, phone lines, and via social media. Presently, there have been no reported cases of the COVID-19 virus at The Center. Please check online and by telephone for updates about the resumption of programming and office services at The Center.

The Center’s School is a lively hands-on learning community that helps children become creative learners using natural resources. The most highly-qualified teachers enjoy working with us.

Our Philosophy. . .

“We are dedicated to the ‘whole’ child. Environmental education is integrated into a curriculum, which addresses each child’s individual needs.”

Our preschool program is for ages 3-6. (Three year olds must be potty trained.) There are several choices of classes, 2 or 3 day-per-week programs, and a choice of morning or afternoon time slots. We also have half- and full-day kindergarten, and we also feature 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes.

We feature low teacher-to-student ratios and offer bright and lively classrooms. We encourage social and emotional growth, and cognitive and language development. For more information or to arrange a tour, please call School Director Kristin Hale at 708.361.8933.
