In these concerning times: The Farm & Nature School offers an opportunity to send your child to preschool on a 60-acre farm for outdoor learning and fun.  Please call or email for information 708-361-8933 or email

We will start holding the 8:30 am Sunday service and the 12:30 & 4:30 Vespers services, all in the Great Hall of the Lodge, live and in person. All gatherings at The Center follow CDC and Illinois state safety guidelines. Many other meetings, classes, and programs remain canceled at The Center. We realize that the situation is still in flux.

We will, therefore, continuously monitor and evaluate the situation over the coming days and provide updates on our website, phone lines, and via social media. Presently, there have been no reported cases of the COVID-19 virus at The Center. Please check online and by telephone for updates about the resumption of programs, meetings, and other services at The Center.

The Center’s School is a lively hands-on learning community that helps children become creative learners using natural resources. The most highly-qualified teachers enjoy working with us.

Our Philosophy. . .

“We are dedicated to the ‘whole’ child. Environmental education is integrated into a curriculum, which addresses each child’s individual needs.”

Our preschool program is for ages 3-6. (Three year olds must be potty trained.) There are several choices of classes, 2 or 3 day-per-week programs, and a choice of morning or afternoon time slots. We also have half- and full-day kindergarten, and we also feature 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes.

We feature low teacher-to-student ratios and offer bright and lively classrooms. We encourage social and emotional growth, and cognitive and language development. For more information or to arrange a tour, please call School Director Kristin Hale at 708.361.8933.
