Why We Linger…
For over eight decades, The Center’s summer camps have provided children with the chance to connect with nature, learn valuable life skills, and grow through hands-on farm activities, outdoor adventures, and values-centered programming. Many of the children who attend our camp come from families with limited financial means, and as such, we rely on generous donors to make this life-changing experience accessible to all.
Our camp offers much more than traditional summer recreation. By spending a week or more in a nurturing environment immersed in nature, children gain independence, build confidence, develop resilience, and cultivate lasting, healthy friendships. The structure of overnight camp allows children to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and experience personal growth that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom or at home. Through activities such as farm animal care, horseback riding, team-building exercises, outdoor exploration, and personal reflection, campers return home with a stronger sense of self, a deeper connection to their values, and a greater appreciation for Mother Earth and all her creations.
In 2026, we are aiming to raise $65,000 to provide camp scholarships to children who would otherwise be unable to attend. Will you please help us make summer camp a reality for these children?
