Open Farm Days

Illinois’ movement into phase 4 means that our farm can once again be open for visitors! The Children’s Farm offers a wonderful outing filled with fresh air, fun, and ample space to respect social distancing.  Pick a day, pack your lunch, and come enjoy a day on the farm! Though the farm has paved walkways, some walking trails are still soggy from this week’s rain. If you’re looking for an adventure, wear your rain boots!

No reservations are needed–No group minimum required

2020 Admission Fee – $7 for ages 2 and up (Pumpkin Days weekends are $10)

New in 2020: ‘Friends of The Farm’ Year-Long Membership

Weekend visits to the farm are leisurely, self guided tours, in which each family can choose their own pace during the three hour visiting time. Complimentary pony and hayrack rides are offered (weather and work-schedule permitting) for paid guests – weight limit imposed for pony rides.

During weekend visits, farm guides invite the public into each animal pen and are ready to supply information about the animals to inquiring visitors. Guests are welcome to touch, pet and groom many of our animals. Our barn animals change seasonally but we often have a variety of chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, pigs, goats, cows, sheep, horses, ponies and donkeys.

Saturdays and Sundays (and Columbus Day) from 10am-4pm
